- this is bound to change once the novel releases, for now, this is headcanon based. -a story of being the wolf. being born as one, growing up to be the next leader of the pack. a story of motherhood, of noxian propaganda, colonization and sexuality.ambessa, now in her early 60s, is a woman of confidence and conviction. she believes deeply in noxian ideals and her own.born into a house struggling for power and recognition inside of noxus' climate, she learnt to fight for her place in the world from an early age. she was not older than 5, when she was introduced to noxian ideals. this was when she was forced to take her first life, of countless ones to come.at the age of ten, her grandfather sought to teach her more about war, and its sacrifices. for every weapon she would return from the battle of hildenard, she was to be gifted one gold coin.this was meant to teach her to respect death, learn that war will always mean that you will have to be willing to lose things you care about.ambessa respected this way of living, and grew up power-hungry, as any noxian should. confident, as a very young teen, she made the early decision to become a soldier, joining the noxian army long before she reached adulthood, or even the middle of her teens.being born into a long-lasting house with power brings great privilege, but her skills in battle are not to be dismissed in her rise in ranks.becoming general of command in several warbands, barely even an adult, she strove to bring more and more respect to the house of the medardas.at the age of 19, she became pregnant with her first child, kino. she never knew to rest and practiced the same as her mother and grandparents had, continuing the war. after kino was born, she only settled down as much as it took to protect him, and teach him about the noxian ideals.to her surprise, kino was born with a soft heart. this would not do. she loved him dearly, but kino grew up to display more and more of those traits: compassion, empathy, a desire for diplomacy. no matter how much she tried to teach him the necessary sacrifices she's made, he stayed a gentle child.about 10 years later, at the age of 30, she got pregnant with her second child, mel. during a battle in her home, rokrund, she almost meets her bitter end. when she is faced with visions of the future induced by kindred, she perseveres. it is implied that her unborn child, mel, had some kind of influence on her survival, but all she knew then, is that she survived, and she would not disappoint herself, by letting those visions she saw stay visions.mel is born a few months later. a healthy, gentle child. too gentle, she comes to learn. she curses herself to a small degree, when she realizes every child she bears is so fundamentally unfit to survive inside of noxus. this does not make her resent them, in fact, she wishes to form the world in a way that their weaknesses could not be exploited.sometime after mel is born, ambessa's grandfather passes, without appointing a heir. this throws the medarda house into chaos, as plenty struggle and desire to swim amongst what he left behind.outmatched by ambessa, all other branches of the family end up having to bend, she desires to continue the legacy of the medardas. vowing to bring no shame to their name and keep rising in power in and outside of noxus.eventually, she exiles mel to piltover, believing she would fit better around there. truthfully, this works out well for her affairs inside of the city, and let's her avoid the look in mel's eyes, whenever she has to make necessary decisions.many years later, not long after the passing of her first child, she comes to visit piltover. the woman you'd meet is a terrifying presence. one of great influence, with an even greater army to back her up, as soon as she arrives at piltover's shores, you can barely see the horizon, without having to overlook many noxian battleships.ambessa is imposing, cunning and charming. she knows of sacrifice and she knows how to manipulate people and bend them to her will. one girl catches her attention in particular, especially as she gets more involved with piltovan politics.

v1 - s1 ambessa - anything before arcane season 2v2 - s2 ambessa - usually anywhere around act 1-2, slight differences applyv3 - canon divergent ambessa - following s2 act 1, where she develops a much closer relationship to Caitlynv4 - canon divergent ambessa - only very vaguely abides by what happens in s2 act 3, major differences apply. inconsistent until fully figure out what I wantv5 - canon divergent ambessa - following the end of s1, silco survives. ambessa strikes a deal with him, allying zaun with noxus, and with that with piltover, to an extent, also. slowly, her influence creeps all over into zaun.v6 - pre-canon ambessa - anywhere before she makes the trip to piltoverv7 - canon divergent ambessa - takes place in the noxian caitlyn au, but ambessa is the one to find and pick up isha, instead of jinx.v8 - canon divergent ambessa - somewhere along the line of season 2, she meets swain, and they come to an agreement of alliance together.v9 - canon divergent ambessa - she survives the s2 finale, with some major injuries. she spends a few months in jail, but is then released as long as she doesn't cause any trouble. ambessa, of course, is out to cause trouble.more tba

a wolf's cub. wearing the wolf's coat on your shoulders. the desire for revenge. finding guidance in the darkest places.caitlyn kiramman, in her mid-20s, she is wrecked with loss and grief. at a first glance, she can come off naive and innocent, but despite how sheltered her upbringing was, she always desired to rebel such.following the events of Arcane s1, and jinx' murder of her mother, she becomes consumed with anger. cold and calculating, is the Caitlyn you'd get to know now. forced to become the head of the kiramman house far before she feels ready, she slips easily into the role.vulnerable as she is due to these losses, ambessa takes the chance to recruit her into her pack. eating up the noxian propaganda like poison, she finds solace and guidance in the noxian woman.slowly, she doesn't realize she's losing her identity. Ambessa puts her hand on her shoulder, and she desires to make her proud.violence will be met with violence. blood for blood. the noxian principles call for sacrifice.she starts to sound a lot like ambessa. it's a little too easy to believe that peace only ever requires more war.

- heavy csa & general child abuse cw.a tale of sexuality. of being sexualized from your first breath, to your last. of growing up too fast and too rough. everything you have, you fought for, you suffered for, you made sure you'd deserve.maddie is a young woman in her early 20s. fair skin, a pink-ish pale tone and orange-blonde hair. she looks like a girl who's never worked a day in her life.she was born on noxian streets. at the very least, that's where she'd made her first memory, that she still remembers. she must've not been older than 5, when she stole bread from a vendor, barely any clothes on her. stealing is something every single noxian child has learnt, you simply don't get by without it.as soon as maddie learned to walk and talk, she recognized that she was not born with the same strength a noxian child was expected to be born with. this is a lesson she was forced to learn. as a young child, maddie realized she could get what she want by sexualizing herself. she'd be useful enough to keep alive if she learnt how to roll over and present herself in a way someone might want her.undress. fight. scream. if you're desirable, you get fed, you get warmth, you survive. maddie survived her entire childhood doing sex work for noxian nobles, or anyone else who promised her safety and food in exchange for her small body.for a while, this worked out well. she got around very frequently, never staying in one place and got quite educated for a noxian orphan. she never did find out if her parents abandoned her, lost her, or if they were ever around in the first place.even after all of this, the noxian blood that flows in her veins tell her the way she grew up was exactly the way it was meant to go. if you are not born to hurt, you have to be good at being hurt, and she does not regret the way her childhood went. this is a choice she would've made again, and again, to ensure her survival.at the age of 15, she went to piltover for a job. when she got left there, she considered going back, but never actually did. piltover was so, so different from noxus. one glaring and dizzying difference is that she finds herself not being allowed to do sex work. it confuses her when she is told that there are protections in place for piltovan children, and they are not expected to fend for themselves from the age of six.she still finds ways to do work. it almost feels unsafer, simply because of its inherent secrecy. there was noone she could turn to if anyone found out.eventually, she transitions over to more full-on spy work and less direct sex. surprisingly, now that she is old enough, she finds herself doing it less than ever. when only a few years later, ambessa comes to piltover, she's sniffed out like a tiny bunny.what ambessa saw in her was a great asset. immediately recognized as a noxian, she gets tasked to join the enforcers by her. pledging her loyalty, maddie does exactly what she is told. being an enforcer is unlike anything she's ever done before, but what is important to her that she is a part of something that would benefit noxus as a whole.
